An Instrument to Provide ICT Investment Strategies for European Public Administrations

Work Package 7 (WP7): Dissemination and Exploitation of PICTURE

General dissemination strategy is based on the idea of fully exploiting all partners’ dissemination chances due to their peculiarities:

• six countries (Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Poland, Switzerland)
• three different fields (local PAs, academia and industry)

PICTURE dissemination and exploitation activities underlying principles:

• promoting projects results to target groups and interested parties (dissemination)
• using research results to create value, thus improving all partners competitive advantages (exploitation).

Dissemination activities focus on scientific institutions on the one hand in order to spread the scientific progress and to make it available for non participating scientific institutions as well as to establish an external quality assurance.
On the other hand, the project results will be continuously provided to concrete users (PA) in order to gain domain related feedback and in order to acquire non participating pilot users.

Dissemination effort will be centred on making optimal use of web technologies, on preparing promotional material to be used both for general publicity and dissemination activities and on organizing and participating in events in order to promote the exchange of ideas, ensuring that the project outcome and the work done can be transferred to the broadest audience, mainly through the European public administrations.

The objectives of WP7 are:

• promoting PICTURE to international and national audience
• disseminating results through participation in European events such as workshops and conferences
• publishing articles in scientific journals, conference proceedings and books
• transferring main outcomes to the broadest public
• ensuring that dissemination activities made by each partner are fully integrated in the overall strategy
• aggregating all the findings of both the global and local implementation and validation phases in an organic view and to understand how these results can be mapped to the actual market necessities, providing an overall exploitation plan for the project and also individual exploitation plans for each partner.
